How To Configure Junk Email Filter in Outlook

Follow the steps below to configure your Junk Email Filter setting in Outlook Desktop application.

  1. Open Outlook on your desktop.
  2. From the Home window, click the Junk ribbon at the top and select Junk E-mail Options.

  3. Click on the Radio Button that corresponds to the level of your preferred junk email protection and click the OK button.

What Are Other Settings in Junk Email Filter

Below are spam filter options you can configure in your Outlook with its corresponding definitions.

Safe Senders You can Add, Edit, Remove, Import, and Export email addresses or domain names as Safe Senders. Meaning, Outlook will not treat email messages sent from the listed users.
Safe Recipients Similar to Safe Senders, you can also Add, Edit, Remove, Import as your trusted users or Same Recipients to receive email messages from you in or out of your network.
Blocked Senders Email addresses or domain names that are added to the list will be automatically filtered and move to your Junk Mail Folders
International/Blocked Top-level Domain List This option blocks all incoming messages for domain emails from a specific country/region you selected like .co, .uk, .au
Blocked Encoding List This option blocks specific character or language in the email for all incoming message.
