How To Download the Offline Address Book on Outlook

Offline Address Book is a feature in Outlook that allows you to download a copy of lists of contacts from your address book. Meaning, you can get access to people's contact information within your organisation without having to depend on an internet connection.

In this article you will learn how to download a copy of your address book, or you can also have a similar environment if you set up a cached mode on Outlook and access to your mailbox offline.

 

Download Offline Address Book in Outlook

If you have created a Mail Contact in Outlook or have added a Distribution List and want to have a copy offline, follow the steps below:

  1. Open your Outlook application from desktop.
  2. Click the Send / Receive tab, then click the Send / Receive Groups button and click the Download Address Book option from the drop-down list.

  3. A new window will pop-up. Select the “Download changes since last Send/Receive” option.

  4. Once the progress window is closed, your download is complete.
