How To Install WordPress Using Installatron in cPanel

NOTE. This guide is only applicable for Linux Web Hosting and Business Hosting.

You've purchased a Linux-Based hosting package and are eager to create your own website using WordPress. However, if you’re new to this, figuring out where to start can be daunting. Don't worry, you're not alone! Many beginners face this challenge when they first dive into the world of web development. We will help you go through the initial steps to set up WordPress on your Linux hosting, ensuring you get your website up and running smoothly. 

 

Solution

There are several methods to install WordPress on your Linux-Based hosting server, but we will guide you through the easiest and most straightforward approach using the cPanel Installatron Applications Installer

To install WordPress in your Linux-Based hosting server, follow these steps: 

  1. Log in to your cPanel.
  2. Scroll down to SOFTWARE section and click Installatron Applications Installer.
     
  3. Click the Applications Browser tab at the top right of the page.
     
  4. Under the Content Management section, locate and click WordPress.
     
  5. Click the +install this application button at the top right of the page.
     
  6. In the Domain field, select the domain where you want to install WordPress.
  7. Make the Directory (Optional) field empty.
     

    NOTE. If you want to install WordPress in a subdirectory of your domain, you need to fill out the Directory (Optional) field. For example, putting blog in the Directory (Optional) field will install WordPress in a blog subfolder: https://sampledomain.com/blog 

     
  8. Keep the Version settings as is, unless you have your own preference.
  9. Scroll down to the Settings section and fill out your desired username, password, email, website title and website tagline. Keep the rest of the settings as is or change it according to your preference.
     

    NOTE. Take note of your username and password, you will use it to access your WordPress Dashboard.

  10. Click + Install at the bottom right of the page to proceed.
