How to Manage DNS for Hosting Account

The Domain Name System (DNS) is used to translate a Domain Name into its corresponding IP Address. In simple terms, DNS is the way your browser knows where to take you when you're on the internet.

Every Domain Name registered at Crazy Domains comes with free standard DNS, which includes standard DDoS protection and full control of the following records through the Account Manager:

If you've purchased regular Email Hosting, Web Hosting, or Windows Hosting with Crazy Domains, then you also have the option to manage your DNS via your Hosting Manager.

But, before making any changes to your DNS, you need to ensure that you're using the correct Name Servers that will allow your DNS settings to work.

In this article, we'll cover the correct Name Servers to use, and how you can manage your DNS via Hosting Manager.

What Name Server to Use

Name Servers are a vital part of the whole DNS process. They're specialised servers on the internet that handle queries from your device about the location of a Domain Name and they're also responsible for making the domain function.

Without the correct Name Server records, all the other domain records will not be retrieved by the system, which may lead to multiple errors.

To manage your DNS via your hosting account, please ensure that you set your Name Server records to the following:

  • ns1.syrahost.com
  • ns2.syrahost.com
