How to Set up Web Forwarding on My Domain

Domain Forwarding allows you to simply forward all traffic and visitors from one domain to another domain or server. With Crazy Domains, a standard FREE Web Forwarding service is included with every Domain Name. All you have to do is to modify the DNS Record within your Account Manager.

Free Web Forwarding Setup

The standard free Web Forwarding must be set up manually, and can be done using the following steps:

  1. Click Sign Up / Log In at the top of this page.
  2. Select Account Manager from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. Click Domains on the menu bar at the top of the page.
  6. Select the Domain Name that you wish to manage.
  7. Scroll down to the DNS Settings section. Click the Hamburger Menu on the right, then select the Add Record from the drop-down menu.
  8. From the Add Record drop-down menu, select A Record.
  9. Enter the Sub Domain (if necessary) and the associated IP Address in the corresponding fields provided.
  10. Click the Update button.

Note: Make sure that the site/server you are forwarding to is configured to accept your domain. This is usually done by using Parked or Addon Domains with your current hosting provider.

Premium One-Click Web Forwarding Setup

For a more convenient option that gives you a One-Click Web Forwarding feature and a vast array of other services and tools for your domain name, we recommend Premium DNS.

This upgrade is available within your Account Manager, and can be done using the following steps:

If you do not have Premium DNS yet, click the Upgrade button and follow the prompts.
Otherwise, click the Hamburger Menu on the right, then select Web Forward from the drop-down menu.
  8. From the Add Record drop-down menu, select A Record.
  9. Enter the forwarded Sub Domain (if necessary) and the Domain that you wish to forward to in its corresponding field.
  10. Click the Update button.

You will not need to configure any settings with your hosting provider anymore, as Premium DNS will host all your DNS Records.

Note: All DNS updates will take up to 2 hours to resolve across the global networks. After you have performed this action, please wait for the update to take full effect.
