What Is an A Record
DNS Record are used to control the location of a resource on the internet. A Record or Address Record is the most basic type of DNS Record, and one of the primary records used in DNS Servers.
Whenever you visit a website, send an email, connect to a certain social media platform, or do basically anything on the internet, you enter its respective address. A Record works by pointing these addresses to an IP Address/Server so that when you type that domain or subdomain in the address bar, the browser knows where to go.
As an example, an A Record is used to point a domain name, such as "google.com", to the IP Address of Google's hosting server, "74.125.224.188".
